OK, so I need merged cells for what I'm doing. So, yeah, that would be nice.

As to a gazillion tabs... I didn't add any. In fact, I tried to take them all out.

I hate tabs. I hate tables.

I think I'll move to Australia.

(Please note the reference to Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Or something close to that title. That should be made into an eSword module if we can secure copyright permission....)

Australia has tables. And if you sit at one in a restaurant too long, will be have a large tab.

Merged cells work fine for me in e-Sword. I just made a 3 column table in MS Word. Merged one row of cells. Inserted sample text. Copied to e-Sword's Topic Editor. Looks good. I've used them in resources before. Buuuut, I know tabs 'n tables are more fun.

My kids found a VHS copy of an early-90s animated short film based on that book. It's funny. It was also free at a thrift store because the guy wanted to get rid of the hundreds of VHS tapes he has on the wall there.

So, all that to say, I got the reference.

In Word 2003 (the one I have) the Tables there really [removed by moderator]. I've played around with the Tables in e-Sword, and find that they lack control. So, when it comes to tables, I either use OO (which is reasonably good), or WordPerfect. Fact is when it comes to creating tables, then copying and pasting it into e-Sword, WordPerfect is the best. Totally unreal eh!

Now, recently I found an Office product that is a lookalike/clone of MS Office, and about a million times cheaper (that is if you can get a product that is a million times cheaper). It's called Kingsoft Office, and it comes out in two packages, Standard and Professional. I dunno how good it is as I never tried it. But is a cheap alternative to MS Office. The Pro edition costs HK$540 (that is Hong Kong dollars). Thought it might be interesting to drop that in.
