It is available for Logos.

Permission for it to be distributed in e-Sword format has not been granted.

Olivetree also offers it.

Just went to olivetree and they now have a version for pc windows 7 :-) They allow you to use all purchased resources on multiple platforms. I have it on pc and ppc.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe Newell's book on Hebrews is still under copyright.

Yeah it is. It was written before 1963, but the copyright was renewed. See the second record: http://collections.s...=newell+william

The legal entity "Estate of William R. Newell" currently owns the copyright.

The Bartimaeus website is a website for the blind (no, I'm not kidding) run by a godly man (who happens to be blind) named Grant Metcalf. Grant secures special copyright permissions for some of his on site works due to his unique ministry (solid Christian "reading" material for the blind). The blind can access his materials via a mechanical reader. Pretty cool technology.

Grant is a great guy. But his site doesn't have much left that is public domain that can successfully be turned into modules without securing copyright permissions. Pity. He has some great stuff.

I'm new to e-sword and I like the interface a lot. One particular problem that I have is that the Chinese versions offered could not be searched. Type in any Chinese words to search, it always turns up nothing. I read somewhere that the program adds spaces to searching phrases. That for sure will not work for non-alphabetical languages. Without the capability to search by text phrases, it's somewhat crippled. I also noted that the CUV-S text contains errors. Some of the Chinese characters were left out in blank because the program could not display or misread it. I searched for means to correct the database file but realized that's impossible. For particular reference, please go to Acts 3:2-3. The Chinese character "赒" is not displayed and a space is in its place.

I'm wondering if the module could be fixed.

My system is Win 7 64 bit.

Thanks,

Ferrar Fenton Bible e-Sword Bible Module

I haven't been able to find an Ferrar Fenton Bible e-Sword Bible Module in English? Does anyone know if an e-Sword Bible Module has been made in that translation?
If somebody is interested in making another Bible translation for e-Sword this would be a good translation to consider. Thank you.

Please post your request for e-Sword Modules here.
Many times, people ask about creating an e-Sword resource and one already exists that they did not know about (I can't tell you how often this happens). You never know, you get the resource much faster than you thought.

If you don't believe the material your seeking is already an e-Sword resource, please post the Title and Author of the work. If the material exists in electronic format (of any kind), post a link to that material here. A number of resource creators visit this forum and they might be persuaded by your request.

Also, some have the mentality that copyrighted text can never be distributed. I've found that smaller copyright holders are very likely to grant permission for their work if you agree to clearly acknowledge them and/or provide a website link and distribute the material for free. Sounds fair to me, so keep that in mind.

I would like to find a Portuguese version of Strong's.
