This is done with the word module opened in ms office word
please play around with it to get an understanding of it.
just checked it, it does work <RF> <Rf> produces a number in red as a pop up. in mysword it came up as (note) pop up.
suggestion: keep everything black and use the colour coding wisely because when I tried to convert it over to mysword it was messy.
NT bible does will not recognize OT scriptures because it does not exist. you can make it as a footnote popup like this
<RF> Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isa 8:8 And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel. Isa 8:10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.<Rf>
this is the only way around it.
thanks
