Hi Brad

download the zip file,
open the Word module using ms office word
look at the coding

For each verse for footnotes use <RF>text<Rf>
There should be a verse rule at the end

i am looking for it now.
Also check out the colour for coding in the other forum you asked about converting the Word
http://www.theword.n...tools&l=english

thanks

If it is a cross-reference you want that is not part of a note and can be overlayed in other Bibles and has back-reference, you would use the format <RX 1.1.1-3> and this would show a link for Genesis 1:1-3.

If it is for a popup link in a note then it would need to be like this

<a href="tw://bible.*?t=40.8.23-30"><font color=defclr6 size=-1> Mt 8:23-30 </font></a>

The defclr6 means the link will take the color from the user settings for cross-references. So if you change in your preferences the color for cross-references then this will be the color used.

This is all in the documentation. http://www.theword.n...module-spec.doc

The major formatting tags that theword and mysword uses are the following :

1.     <CM> - paragraph end marker

2.     <FR><Fr> - Words of Jesus in red

3.     <RF><Rf> - translators' notes

4.     <FI><Fi> - italic (added words)

5.     <TS><Ts> or <TS><Tsn> where n=2-7 - titles or headings

6.     <Pin> /< PFn> - poetry formatting

7.     <WGxxx> / <WHxxx> e.g. <WG1> would be Strong's number G1 - Strong's numbers

8.     <RX b.c.v> So Genesis 1:1-3 would be <RX 1.1.1-3> - cross-reference

No you don't need a verse.rule for that.

Hi Brad

Thanks to JPG I figured it out.  here is a zip file of different formats.

Attached File  MLV(2014).zip   5.62MB   2 downloads

again open the Word module in ms office word and re work it

<a href="tw://bible.*?t=23.7.14, 23.8.8, 23.8.10"><font color=defclr6 size=-1> Isa. 7:14, 8:8, 10</font></a>

use this tab for multi scripture popups just change the verses

in the file is a bible list with numbers 23 = isa or 40 = mat

mat 1:25

REWORKED

and did not know her until she had given birth to her firstborn son and he called his name JESUS.<font color="#0000ff"><CL> <RF>{Footnotes: Please read the Preface. * is our universal footnoting for words contained in the Appendix. <RF>footnotes..<Rf> makes a pop up

This is done with the word module opened in ms office word

please play around with it to get an understanding of it.

just checked it, it does work <RF> <Rf> produces a number in red as a pop up.  in mysword it came up as (note) pop up.

suggestion: keep everything black and use the colour coding wisely  because when I tried to convert it over to mysword it was messy.

NT bible does will not recognize OT scriptures because it does not exist. you can  make it as a footnote popup like this

<RF>  Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isa 8:8  And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel. Isa 8:10  Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.<Rf>

this is the only way around it.

thanks

Hi Brad,

I will be uploading a file that you or anybody can make MySword Bible from the Word bible module. You will be able to have chapter heading, all the colours of T4, footnote pop up, and scripture pop up.

Thanks

Hi, Niobi,

<a href="tw://bible.*?t=23.7.14, 23.8.8, 23.8.10"><font color=defclr6 size=-1> Isa. 7:14, 8:8, 10</font></a>

The above works in theWord but is not really a good idea as MySword will not support this multiple format. Even single ones are not supported by the MySword migration tool (I asked about this) and would need to be modified by hand, to their format for example. Notice there is no font tags needed either.

<RF>Some notes and refs<a href="b23.7.14"> Isa. 7:14</a>, <a href="b23.8.8">8:8</a>, <a href="b23.8.10">10</a> and more notes<Rf>

Jon

[edit]

also if you have this <RF>Some notes and refs<a href="b23.7.14"> Isa. 7:14</a>, <a href="b23.8.8">8:8</a>, <a href="b23.8.10">10</a> and more notes<Rf>

in MySword and you have the option to merge Bible refs + merge single refs in Bible view; you will find that it does not display the notes, it just displays a single link and this is to the last Bible ref (Isa 8:10) in the above case.

[edit2]

Now I am confused. It appears that if I just used a verse.rule or two to put <RF> tags on the footnotes that they will show with popup scripture links. So all that would need to be done would be to put the Footnote at the actual location in the text and not a multiple of notes at the bottom. For the xrefs, that is the ones with just the curly braces and scriptures in them, they should be put as <RX  tags really, but for simplicity they could be placed within <RF> tags also. Excuse my rambling.

edit2 of my above rambling. So just convert as you did to a theWord module and then make the footnotes as you mentioned using the <RF> <Rf> tags. MySword will popup a translators note and you can tap on the verses.
