I accidentally downloaded an unconverted commentary file from my computer (Windows os) onto my ipad into ESword hd for iPad using itunes and I don't know how to get it off so it is just wasting space. Itunes will let me copy it elsewhere but not delete it and it doesn't show up on my computer. Any ideas?

I could be wrong; but if you have not tried this then try it:

get on windows and load itunes; connect your ipad via usb; click to the ipad and then it's app area; scroll down to the app share (think it's called something like that) and look for esword; highlight all files you want gone and then hit the delete key on your windows keyboard.

Best advice:

Ditch your iPad, and get a droid tablet. Recommend Samsung Galaxy S Note 10.1 or Galaxy 12.2 Note Pro

Reason: you can connect your tablet via USB to your PC, and open it up in Windows File Explorer and  from there you can delete any any file you wish.

If you wish to keep your iPad, you shouild have some form of a file manager app on it. and from there you should be able to delete any file from your iPad file manager. Failing that, I have no idea as to what you can do. I don't own an iPad.

Oakleaf1,

Look for an application called iFunBox. Find it here http://www.i-funbox.com/

It is a windows file manager for your iPad.

It has been discussed several times here on BibleSuport.com.

You can search the forums here and read the comments on the app and its' use.

(When/If you do search here, make sure that you change the search target to 'Forums'. It defaults to 'Downloads' -or- 'This topic' depending on where you start the search from. I always forget to change it :))

Hope that helps.

Roy

Agree with Roy,

Get iFunBox (it's free) available for PC and Mac.

iFunbox is the one I use every time for managing all e-SwordHD modules, far faster than iTunes for this purpose and easy to use.

Well, that is something I didn't know. :o Learn something new everyday.

I'll bear this is mind if I backslide and go to Apple.

Oh, yeah, which reminds me ... Apple, that forbidden fruit in the Garden that Satan tempted Eve with. LOL.gif

Have a blessed and fantastic New Year to yas all
