Yes, I know how to use the topic notes. My problem is that e-sword study notes in my computer do not save after I finish writing my notes on a particular verse. I turn e-sword off and when I re start the program, my notes are no where to found. Thanks.

After doing a registry check and fixing the registry for wondows, I still have the same problem.

Hello,

So, if you create a study note for John 3:16 and then switch to John 1:1. And then switch back to John 3:16, your study note is not there?

Go to your study.notx file in your user documents e-Sword folder. Right click the file, select properties, and see that read-only attribute is not checked. e-Sword does not check that this is set and give a warning and so this behaviour would be experienced.

Yes, I had to ctrl + mouse right click, then choose new/ that took me to the file manager, I gave a name to my study note. It worked just fine. Thank you very much for all your help. Yes, I had to make sure that I save my study notes work before I leave the program, and I chose the chain link icon (activated).

The ctrl + right click had to be done on the Editor/study notes window.

Hello Ruben,

I don't know that I understand all of this, but I'm glad that you got it working. Just for information, mine uses the same file every time - Study.notx, so I don't have to create a new file every time. I hope that you don't either. Below is where my Study.notx file is kept by my user name in my documents folder.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
