Hey guys!

First of all, to those of you who have made this site possible––thank you! This resource is an amazing asset to the ministry.

I went 100% iPad about a year ago. The module download process works great BTW, but since the last HD update I'm having trouble with copy/paste. Whenever I copy large portions of scripture or commentary and go to paste them into Pages, Notes, even the e-Sword native editor, they paste in paragraph for rather than line by line.

Anyone else having this problem? Any one found a fix? Rick Meyers responded and said that it must be Pages, but as stated above it does this even in the editor.

FOA, I wholeheartedly agree with what you said about this site.

 

Not sure I can help with your problem as I only [read] on the tablet. I've had a similar problem on the desktop PC when copying and pasting formatted text into my word processor, though, and learned this trick: I first paste copied text into Windoze Notepad -- which removes [all] formatting -- then cut and paste that where I want it. The text then takes on whatever formatting I had previously applied to that page or paragraph in the WP. Don't know if using the 'Notes' app on your iPad would work in a similar fashion, but it might be worth a shot. HTH!

Hi, i just recreated copying and pasting as you mention and everything works good. I get to paste to Pages, Notes and the e-Sword editor with no problem. Restart your iPad and try again. Please post back your results.

How large is what you are copying? Also try copying just a paragraph...

Hmmm. Thats weird that it works for you. It does it no matter how many verses I try. I'm running e-Sword HD 2.0 and Pages and the new Pages. Same as you I'm sure. I've turned my ipad off numerous times to no avail.

I found this:

 

I can get it in a "line by line" pasting it at the e-Sword Editor with any module, but for other editors like Pages and Notes only one of the modules I use works well. I have no idea why is this. I mainly use spanish modules, the one that works is the very old RV 1865, this one I converted myself long time ago, not sure if thats why... but even with others that I have also converted it doesn't paste in line.

 

Now, like I said all modules paste in line by line at the eSword Editor, and if I copy it from here and past it in Pages or Notes it does work good.

Can you?
