Me again,

Still having problems with the macro. I downloaded 10.0.2 but still no joy. I have tried everything I know to try to correct this problem. Obviously most are not experiencing this difficulty. I use the macro a lot so it is disappointing to find it does not work for me.

When I have used the new version (before going back to 9.9.12) I really enjoyed the new and extra facilities offered.

Perhaps in future releases, Rick will make it possible to set the path for every type of file, too. Could that be too difficult?

Hi Dave,
Not really. Programmably is relatively simple, as this is a sort of think I've done with ESIM. Also having the Path set in Window's Registry via the installer setup program is also fairly simple.

That said, because e-Sword is used across different platforms, Linux and Mac OSx ones, I think there you will start to look at difficulties and issues, and here I think where installations on non-Windows Operating Systems can be a real hassle if not a nightmare.

Anyone else thoughts on this issue, in particular those using Linux and iMac OSx (Unix) machines are welcome.

Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).

It would be good if the STEP reader icon was returned to being next to the Graphic Viewer icon where it used to be.

Hello, just wanted to say thank you.  Downloaded version 10.0.2 and several dozen modules and all have installed without a hitch. The forum is great and the topic for beginners so helpful.
One question, How do you get Evan's to display in the reference library?

(For example, the Evans Outline Study of the Bible looks much improved in the Reference Library because of its support for the better RTF implementation.)

So appreciating all your hard work

Rachel,

Welcome to BibleSupport. Glad you're having a good experience.

When you click the Reference Library icon, you should be able to select Evans from the drop down list of files, like this:.
Attached File  select_evans.png   123.09K   15 downloads

If not, click Options > Resources. Find the field called "Location" at the bottom of that screen and make a note of that folder. This folder tells e-Sword where to find resources. Copy Evans to that folder. You may then have to re-start e-Sword.

I downloaded 10.0.2, but the program does not respond - no startup. I am using Win7 64 bit. Is this a problem for others? Howard

I'm running Win7 64 also and no problems. You launch the program and nothing happens at all? No hour glass? Were you upgrading or doing fresh install?

This was a fresh install. When I click on the icon the User Account window pops up and I click ok, but then nothing. I have 6 gigs of ram & lots of other good stuff.

thank you, it did help to have it downloaded.  What patience you must have dealing with novices like me.  Over and Over.
I'll be back when i have tried out a few of these fabulous resources!
