I have downloaded Don Koenig's book, The Revelation Of Jesus Christ Through The Ages, to e- sword. It shows a tab in the commentary box for it but nothing shows just a blank page. I looked in the program files in e-sword and it is there. I tried the referance library search box and nothing there, says no results. How can I fix it so I can read the book. Tks for the help. Great Bible search software.  I am using Vista ultimate.

Hello,

This is a commentary on Revelation. Any verses outside of Revelation will not have a comment.

Which verse comments are you looking at?

Anybody know how install the modules from this website onto Windows Vista?

I "Downloaded" a bunch of modules but they didn't automatically install and I didn't see any install "add-on" like feature in the actual e-Sword tabs.

The last several pages should cover just about all of the possibilities. You can get a separate utility called a module installer if you don't know where to put the files, and it will do it for you. I don't use the module installer and have Windows 7. I just put the new module in the main e-Sword folder and it's ready to go. The module installer is in the utilities section of this website. I hope this helps.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

New to this resource.

This may be a bit of a dumb question(s), but I am new to these resources for e-sword.

I am downing loading a few of the titles, (Bible Expositors Comm.) etc. to my computer.

After a "agree to terms of service" I see a list of many files to down load.

Which files to I actually need to download? for example:

Bible comm.exe

Bible Comm.zip

Bible Comm. Gen-Rev.tpx.

Bile Com.cmpx

So my question which file do I need or which file do download?

I have downloaded the .exe. only it seems to work fine.

Do I need all the files.  Do I download the zip file or just the exe.

Any help would be appreciated.  I love e-sword, and I am grateful for the works

many have done  to make these tools available.

Alright - if you are using a Windows laptop or desktop computer, than the only file to download and install would be the .EXE file.

There are several different types of platforms supported on this resource site.  Also, as in the Windows version, the file may appear as the raw file (TOPX, CMTX, BBLX, etc), as a zip file or as an executable file (EXE).  You would do well to just download the EXE file and work from that format.

ALSO, I should add, some files can be found in two different formats for the same software.  An example would be the commentary that you have choosen.   The Bible Expositors Commentary can also be downloaded in the eBook format (TOPX) for someone who doesn't want to view this resource as a linked commentary (CMTX).

I know - it can get confusing.  Sorry about that..  As you work with the multitude of resources though, you will notice a general pattern to the layouts emerging and things will get much simpler.  Blessings. lg
