Even when Tooltip is fixed its not going to output a table of contents as bookmarks like other word processors do. The user will have to flip flop around in the text with no organizational structure. Pdf has a built-in organizational structure called bookmarks.

You are losing the organizational structure of your module by not using software better made for pdfs.

Press F1 in esword to see the pdf docs. You find table of contents/bookmarks in the left pane. You could have that in your conversion from esword to pdf if you would listen. :)

Just a follow up note for any who might want to use T4 to make a .pdf. It's not exactly intuitive. But here's how:

1. Open the .rtf file, or use T4's "Modules" option from the menu to "read" any eSword module type. (Note: you may want to experiment by looking at what happens when you "read" a module "without titles", and then obviously with titles. You may like one better than the other.)

2. Make any desired edits

3. Here's the key step that is not intuitive: Go to "View" and then "Page View."

4. Now "Save as..." the .pdf file type, and voila! T4 creates the .pdf.

There are no bells and whistles to this .pdf file. Undoubtedly taking the .rtf file into a word processor will allow the user to create a more refined .pdf. But if you want a raw .pdf, this is a very simple method to create it.

Thanks, Brent, for your "out of the forum" help, and of course, for this wonderful T4 too.
