When I try to install ToolTipTool NT 257.exe on my Optiplex 755 that has been upgraded to Window 10, it says "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the sofware publisher." So, do I need an older version of ToolTip or do I need an older version of Windows? Is there a solution for this PC? I have no prior experience with ToolTip, but would like to make a graphics module add-on for e-Sword. I do have a nice refurbished Windows 7 PC coming to me this week sometime, and wonder if I should use an older version of ToolTip with it, but I see no download link for any older version of ToolTip.

Any solution idea's appreciated. Thanks.

Try the install again on Windows 10 as the Administrator. Right click the install file and select run as administrator. Let us know if this doesn't work.

I have already tried as administrator, and with compatibility troubleshooter and with Windows 7 compatibility, and none of them work. I get the same message every time.

I just checked the e-Sword utility download area here, and the latest version of Tooltip NT should be 2.56 unless the author didn't update the description. I'm running Tooltip NT 2.56 in Windows 10 with no problems at all. I really don't know what else to tell you.

Okay, I successfully installed and started "ToolTipTool NT 2.57" using 7-Zip, even though Window 10 refuses to recognize it as an app and you have to jump through hoops. I believe the problem is with "g-Zip Opener" the faulty app that Windows 10 recognizes. The documentation has just not been updated yet to reflect going from 2.56 to 2.57.  Thank you so much for your suggestions. God Bless.

Thanks for telling us - I'm happy that you have it working. I didn't even consider the zip program.

Just to let yas all know, I've just downloaded and installed this version of T4 on my PC and ran it without any issues or problems.

Just a bit about zip files and etc that I think might come in handy to know.

Ever since Windows XP and right up to this current version of Windows, the File Explorer/ Manager, or whatever want to call it, could/can read zip files as folders. This means that one can access files within a Zip file just by clicking on it in the Tree view of, what is now called, Windows File Explorer, which is found on the left side of the interface (that is the Tree view). Now, from within the Zip file, one is able to run the installer program and install software (Apps) onto one's Computer such as T4 (ToolTipTool NT).

Blessings,
