The youtube link below is a tutorial by Dan on how to convert your Microsoft Word or other text notes to a MySword journal along with an attachment that with a migration tool that will migrate the notes from excel.

This tool is different that the theWord to MySword migration tool.

If you have your notes in e sword or theWord already, this is probably not the tool for you. You would probably want to use the theWord to MySword migration tools that are available at www.mysword.info for that. However, if you have your notes in another format and want to get them into MySword, then this might be useful to you.

It also includes a tutorial on how to use drop box to synch files to the MySword folder on your android device. This might be useful for MySword files you download from this site.

I.am.speechless.  This youtube video worked flawlessly!  Amazing!

The video is extremely easy to follow.  The only hiccup was with following the instructions for the 64 bit.  Well, I checked my computer and I am running on 64 bit.  Therefore, I followed the instructions...which was simple.  However, the copying did not work and crashed as the other poster mentioned.

I deleted the zip and extracted files and started the Spread2 process again without following the 64 bit instructions....did the cmd instructions and Voila!  The journals appeared in MySword Journals with the clickable scripture links.  I only have to go back into MySword and do the "returns".  I don't think it's the converter's fault but how I entered the notes into my old bible app.

This is what I did:

I did not use FolderSync as it no longer looks like the version used in the Youtube video. Instead, I started the tutorial where he picks up with the Excel spreadsheet instructions.

  1. Instead, I hooked my tablet up to my laptop via cables.
  2. Once the journal module was created, I stayed inside the same folder (Spread2 folder) >  right click > Copy the journal module
  3. Then I went to Start  >  Computer >  navigate to my tablet
  4. Navigate to the MySword folder on my tablet  >  Journal folder
  5. Pasted the journal module
  6. Check to see if it's there in the MySword app and be full of joy when you see it!

If I wanted to use a sync folder, I would use Dropsync since I'm hooked up with them already.
