Hi, Eliran,

thank you for the tips. It seems that adjusting SQL database directly will be for me the way to go. I will definitely give it a try. I would not think it will be so simple. For me it's definitely easier to adjust the text and export it into csv.

Now I just need some time to try it. But at least it seems I have all the information I need. Thank you so much.

I have converted an epub to rtf using calibre and then converted from the rtf to thework book module using the word importer tool. Now I am trying to use migration tools to convert to mysword; it acts like it is processing but after 15 minutes it is not done. I see the output file in the directory but it is only 15kb and the journal is 1kb. Not sure what is going on with this process. Can anyone help?

Migrating TheWord Book/Devotional/Graphics Modules

TheWord General Book (*.gbk.twm) Devotional (*.dev.twm) and Maps/Graphics
(*.map.twm) all have the same format and can be migrated to MySword v.2.0
Journal or Book format (*.bok.mybible). This migration program will
automatically use the extention .bok.mybible but you can always rename it
to .jor.mybible. Also, the migration program will automatically set the
readonly field in the details table to 1. If you intend to allow editing
of the journal/book in MySword, you will have to set it to 0 manually
(please see below on how you can use Firefox and SQLite manager to do
that). But please note that Journal/Book editing in MySword is limited to
7 entries if the Premium Version is not activated. This can be activated
for a generous donation of any amount to support MySword development,
hosting and support.

From the MySword migration tools folder drag and drop the theWord file on top of the theWordBook2MySword.exe file and the command prompt may open automatically and create the MySword file. If this does not work, try the steps below.

In the Command Prompt, if the module to be migrated is wight-manners.gbk.twm and
is placed in the same folder where the executables are, type the following:

TheWordBook2MySword wight-manners.gbk.twm

This will create wight-manners.bok.mysword. You can now just copy this file into
your selected Modules Path/Folder in your Android device.

You can also use Firefox SQLite Manager plugin/extension to see the output
SQLite database without using MySword.

I have done this but the command prompt just hangs on this

C:\MySwordMigrationTools64bit>TheWordBook2MySword CelebrateDiscipline.gbk.twm
Migrating CelebrateDiscipline.gbk.twm
Content type: rtf

Can you assist?

if you have original epub file, it may be easier to create a MySword module directly from it:

just share a way to do it in Mac:

1. open terminal
2. run command "unzip filename.epub" where filename is the name of your epub file. this command results in unzipping all html files
3. in terminal tpye cd, drag the folder having all html files
4. run "cat *.html > myBook.csv"
5. edit this csv file
6. import into a MySword template file

I am able to convert from epub to rtf. I am unable to properly process the rtf to make it work in mysword. I have successfully done two epubs but cannot figure out how after trying so many things. It seems like it might be an encoding issue. Any thoughts?

it seems there is no direct way for rtf, coz MySword modules support html and unicode.  you may try to contact MySword team and see.

as I mentioned above, epub is a good start for conversion into MySword modules, no need to convert to rtf first.

re how it work in PC, you may need inputs from PC users.  I am out in terms of PC experience.
