On the subject of new modules.....I seem to remember discussion some months ago about the "Old Green Commentaries"..by CollegePress....

I've got it on my "to work on" list, having all the pdf files on my PC that College Press has made available. Unfortunately, there are a few volumes that are missing from their website (Job, Kings, and a couple others). I have friends who possess the other volumes, and are ready to supply them for me as I get to it. I have started on the project, but am trying to finish off some other projects which I am doing for a couple translators (one of which is supposed to be an "official" e-Sword module when it is completed).

The College Press project will be completed, but there are issues which cause it to not be as quick and easy as doing Lange's was for Josh.
- Scan quality is not so great on some volumes (meaning OCR isn't that great either...).
- Different authors for most of the volumes, and as such they are all formatted differently (meaning, each volume has to be taken as a separate book in regards to using find/replaces and macro creation/use).
- Some authors give no indication that they have switched verses until midway through paragraphs, meaning that in order to do this module right, all 40-some volumes have to be read as the module is being prepared.
- Some of the contents (especially of the first of four volumes on Genesis) deal with topics that are not necessarily connected to any book, chapter, or verse specifically, so these chapters are being compiled into a sizable refx file.
- Missing books need to be located and scanned to make this set complete.
After I finish with the projects I've got going right now, I will turn more of my attention to this one and making sure it is done properly.

Thanks so much for your quick and thorough response !! I couldn't remember for the life of me who it was that carried the ball on that project. With your knowledge and determination it will be a fine addition to not only your vast contributions....but E-sword and its users !
Thanks again Bradley for your timely response !!

FYI, I'm one who appreciates the somewhat unique work you've taken on here. The College Press project will be completed, but there are issues which cause it to not be as quick and easy as doing Lange's was for Josh.

Hi, Josh,
Thanks for asking! Here's my choices:
1a) Meyer, H.A.
1b) Fletcher, J.
****
3) Beet, J.
***
4) everything else in alphabetical order (in other words, the rest of them aren't as important )
Alright, with Meyer done, I think I'm going to do Gnomon of the NT next. We have a chapter by chapter rendition of it but it's a little ugly and the Greek doesn't render for some people (hard to have a Greek commentary with no Greek...). And people snicker at every chapter's verses reading 1-99.
Someone gave me the text in July of last year, split by book. I wasn't equipped to make large verse-by-verse commentaries then. But I am now. I can use the same macro code on Gnomon that I used on Meyer.

With Gnomon done, I'm going to make the Thomas Coke commentary set which won't take long.
And then I'm off to re-do William Nicoll's Expositor's Greek NT, so that it's verse by verse, with end of paragraph (or end of comment) footnotes, and the Greek and Hebrew text properly presented. I'm going to break the text like I did with Lange, because the printed publisher combined paragraphs to save space. It's evident that separate paragraphs should appear at certain points (just as it was with Lange's) and it definitely helps with readability.
Someone sent me a copy of this text in Open Office format. That's a good thing because I noticed the chapter-by-chapter version floating around in theWord format has footnotes that are not for the right word. I noticed the footnote placement (what word is footnoted) is just way off much of the time. So I'd hate to start with text with faulty/misplaced footnotes! Expositor's Greek should take about the same amount of time the Gnomon did.

You wouldn't happen to have a "cleaner" source for the ICCNT volumes, would you? The one we have for e-Sword/theWord has lots of problems. With Gnomon done, I'm going to make the Thomas Coke commentary set which won't take long.
