A few simple "find/replace" commands in MS Word will add most of those code commands when you've finished your work on it.  That conversion between the first example and the second one wouldn't be a problem.

For example, if you started with the original text

Mat 1:1 The book G976 of the generation G1078 of Jesus G2424 Christ G5547, the son G5207 of David G1138, the son G5207 of Abraham G11.

You could do a find (with wildcards on, and without the quotation marks) "^13(Mat [0-9]{1,2}\ :)([0-9]{1,2}) "

And replace it (again without quotation marks) with "^p<SV\2>"

And you would end up with

<SV1>The book G976 of the generation G1078 of Jesus G2424 Christ G5547, the son G5207 of David G1138, the son G5207 of Abraham G11.

The book and chapter specific codes would have to be entered manually, but that's not that difficult.

Now, regarding the interlinear, that's another can of worms all together.

I don't know if you can create a macro that inserts stuff into different cells of a table.  If so, then getting the references in a separate column wouldn't be that difficult.  But that's beyond my area of knowledge.

thanks a lot brother!

I gave up on the interlinear project but I'm confident to be able to do a parallel.

But I haven't been able to find public domain cross references to put on a separate column.

Do you have any ideas?

I don't mind if it's a Bible module that comes with the references at the end of each verse, as long as the references are on the same line.

(You gave me a great idea about doing creative find/replace!

Thanks and shalom!

Alex

So with Lange's nearly done and some downtime while the text control bug is resolved, I'm going through material for potential modules.

I have clean copies of the following texts and am trying to prioritize the module creation. What sounds interesting to you and why?

Commentaries
Joseph Benson's Commentary on the Bible (8 vols, Gen-Rev)
Joseph Beet's Commentary (Romans - Philemon)
Joseph Sutcliffe's Commentary (5 vols, Gen-Rev)
Daniel Wheldon's Commentary  (Gen- Rev, 14 vols)
Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament or "Meyer's Commentary" by Heinrich August Wilhelm Meyer (21 vols.)
William Godbey's New Testament Commentary (7 vols)

Others:
James Arminus (3 volumes of writings)
John Fletcher (Works of Fletcher, 4 vols)
Richard Watson (Watson's dictionary, Watson's Exposition, Watson's Institutes Part 1-4)
Thomas Ralston (Elements of Divinity)

That about wraps up this collection of Wesleyan/Methodist/Arminian leaning material (except for Meyer's Commentary, which doesn't fit that theology). A few Reference Library works left, but they can be done as in-between projects or whenever.

It would be very useful to me if you could combine the apparatuses of the UBS4 and the NA27 (or higher) and reproduce it as a module.

A couple of years  ago my pastor suggested a book to me on prayer, "How to Develop a Powerful Prayer Life by Dr. Gregory R Frizzell."  I was just wondering if he could be contacted about adding his book to the e-Sword library?  For those that haven't had the opportunity to read it, it is special.

Thanks, Mike Clark

I need a module in commentary form that works like the "Compiled Allusions to the NT in the Ante-Nicene Fathers " except for the nicene and post nicene fathers. Is there a resource out there that does this? TIA and very thankful for your diligence in providing this site.

I would love to see a commentary on the Torah or whole Hebrew bible (and perhaps on the New Testament where it can provide details) from the Talmud and Zohar. Realistically this would be quite an endeavor to undertake.

I would like to have the New World Translation (NWT) as an E-Sword module.

http://www.jw.org/do...t&langwritten=E

The link works best in FireFox. IE10 tries to close the tab, but you can still download the pdf if you cancel the popup message box asking you for permission to close.

Thank you for your hard work and may our Heavenly Father bless all your efforts.

The New World Translation is the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible. It denies the deity of Jesus Christ. For general study or curiosity, you can read it elsewhere, as you noted. But I don't want to distribute a Bible with such serious problems for use in Bible study software.
