Well it is exactly as I said. If you use the correct modules you won't have a problem with e-Sword 13

Sorry for this misinformation. I must have just had my font settings in the various places the same and so it worked. But on further testing I see  a problem.

Thanks for the video, that will work. I have done further testing and found my issue with version 13 is resolved and works as it should on windows 7. So with that in mind I am begininng to think it is a windows 10 issue and has nothing to do with Esword. But until something is figured out I will use your method to copy and paste. Blessings in the Lord to you my Brothers.

Glad that it worked out for you. I was holding in bated breath wondering if that would work.

So, again I'm glad that it worked, and praise God for that. Amen!.

Blessings,

Hello rictrician,

When you copy text into Microsoft Word, remember that in Word the font and style details of the paragraph are all contained in the paragraph marker at the end of the paragraph. I found that if I copied a selection, and included part of the following verse, then the paragraph marker, which came before the beginning of the next verse, would retain the previous paragraph markers intact.
Then it is easy to notice which format the font type and size and paragraph style of your further text is set to, probably the Normal paragraph style, and carefully delete the extra text which you did not need to have copied into your termination document in Word.

The quickest method of making a follow-on paragraph have the same font and paragraph style as the previous paragraph is to go to the end of the previous paragraph. Then at the period before the paragraph marker, position the pointer just after the period. Press "Delete" as though to delete the paragraph mark. Then what will happen, is that your paragraph marker will jump to the end of the expanded paragraph, which now incorporates the content of the next paragraph. Then press "Enter" to split the text into two paragraphs, both of which will have the same font size, and paragraph style.

Hi Olaf,

The issue that Rictrician was having has nothing to do with MS Word, but that of copying Bible verses into the Topic or Study, or the Journal Editors within e-Sword. See below:

Heb 13:6  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Heb 13:7  Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

Heb 13:8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Why is it when I copy paste in Esword Topic Editor the bottom line font is always smaller. It also happens when I paste into Word. Been trying to figure this out for a while and cannot. I am sure it is operator error though.

Be blessed my brothers and sisters in the Lord, He has great plans for all of His children.

The solution or fix to that problem and similar I outlined in the above video. Microsoft Word can't fix that issue that Rictrician was experiencing.

Stephen (Php 1:21).

Reply from Rick Meyers:
The problem is that the last paragraph mark is not getting selected and copied; thus, the formatting for that paragraph will pick up the cursor insert properties from the document itself.  This is pretty standard behavior for editors, including Microsoft Word.

Triple-clicking a word will select the entire paragraph, then one can extend the paragraph selections by dragging down through the document.  Again, pretty standard behavior for editors.

It will be useful to occasionally re-read the history of how e-Sword evolved. From the website of the developer, Rick Meyers, https://e-sword.net/index.html select the "ABOUT" tab to read the history. https://e-sword.net/history.html
Further details pertaining to e-Sword on the Microsoft operating system is available on the "DOWNLOAD" option, on a link provided after the option to install e-Sword version 13.0.0. https://e-sword.net/changes.html
E-Sword version 11.0 (July 2016) provided the option for the HTML modules to be processed by e-Sword on the Microsoft PC. From then onwards, all modules converted into HTML programming using the MODULE CONVERTER (see https://e-sword.net/extras.html ), no longer need to use RTF coding. These have filename.xyzi file type, with "i" as the fourth letter in the file type. (*.bbli, *.cmti, *.topi, *.refi), which can be used on the Apple Mac, and other touch-screen devices, such as iPhone, iPad, and Android, which run various proprietary operating systems, by Apple, and varieties of Unix by various other manufacturers. These can read coding in HTML format.

The MODULE CONVERTER has been updated recently, to version 4.2.0 on 2022-04-08, by Rick Meyers. See https://e-sword.net/extras.html

The e-Sword User's Guide is available for Microsoft systems on option "F1" function key, as mentioned in the e-Sword tab "Help", running from C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword\e-sword_guide.pdf where the latest License.pdf details are also provided.
