Not sure where to post this but in the AKJV American King James + module with the strongs numbers, some strongs numbers are inserted in the word preventing hover for tooltip and clicking to get it to open in the strongs pane. I don't know if it can be fixed, but thought I would post it. See attachment.

Thanks

Isn't BBLI IOS file? I have PC.

I have also a PC.

BBLI is an Apple module for e-Sword 11(PC) and  e-Sword 12(PC), e-Sword X(Mac), e-Sword HD(iPad) and e-Sword LT(iPhone)

And it is more compatible (see compare and parallel mode)  with the newest PC e-Sword edition (12.2.0)

But it not compatible with the older PC editions (e-Sword 10, 9  and below) that used RTF code instead of HTM and Unicode.

So it works on all the newer e-Sword editions.

Thank you for the explanation. I didn't know those files could be used on a PC. So I have installed it. Problem solved. Just so others know, the zip file is only for the AKJVR with strongs numbers. You need to leave the other AKJVR bblx file in esword to have the version without the strongs numbers in it.

This information should probably be added to the download pages of the AKJV. Just saying...

The problem was about the American King James Version with Strong's numbers.

So I posted the one with the Strong's numbers that was the last edition.

How to open a zip file is basic computer knowledge.

And there are limits of posting acceptable file extensions in the Forum.

The "Original" American King James Version was a King James edition that was edited with the help of a spellchecker in US-Eng

and was done by Stone Engelbrite in 1999. And made it Public Domain.

So the American King James Version is in "American" English and some archaic words are updated.

For example wot->know

The Strong’s Numbers, italics and Red Lettering were added by Brent Hildebrand.(BH.)

The version that I posted was the last and best edition of the American King James Version by Brent Hildebrand.

Here is the last edition without Strong’s Numbers.

It is again a BBLI because then can you see the Red Lettering and Italics in Compare and Parallel mode by the last e-Sword editions.

You can change the "Bible versions tap order" by changing the file name. It is alphabetic and numbers are before the letters.

All HTML modules of e-Sword
As a follow up of queries in this thread, answers have been received from Rick Meyers, the developer of e-Sword for the Windows operating system, and for windows for Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Android.
Are the same downloads which are available for e-Sword X for the Mac, and e-Sword HD for the iPad, and e-Sword LT for the iPhone and e-Sword for Android also available for e-Sword for Windows? In other words, are the whole range of entries for Bibles, Commentaries, Devotionals, Dictionaries, Lexicons and Reference books also available on all varieties of e-Sword?
Rick Meyers replied: Yes, .bbli, .cmti, .devi, .dcti, .lexi, and .refi files will work on every e-Sword platform. Only user files are OS-dependent.
Rick Meyers explains that e-Sword modules are loaded alphabetically. As such, a BBLI file will load before a BBLX file with the same name. e-Sword will only load one instance of a module with the same abbreviation as described in the Details table of the database.
Rick Meyers commented on the Update program by Bible Support members who are providing conversions of old file modules with .xxxx file extensions, into HTML format xxxi modules.
By the way, having everything in the .xxxi format is a really good idea since the Unicode HTML modules are the only ones I personally support. Rich Text is not portable between operating systems, and modules made for Rich Text are limited to the PC. Also, HTML modules are supported all the way back to e-Sword 10, so that probably covers 99 percent of the users still using e-Sword.
In His service,

Rick Meyers

Olaf,

Nice to know about all of this, but so what, it really means nothing, because when it comes to e-Sword for Windows, all resources, and I mean all resources, irrespective of what they are, the file extension ends with an x always by default. Every time when you either download a free resource using the e-Sword Download Manager, or purchase a resource from eStudySource, and download and install it on your PC, the file you get ends with an x at the end of the file extension.

Do the same on an iPad, iPhone, and/or on a Droid device, you will always get a file that ends with an i at the end of the extension.

Irrespective of the platform you are downloading an e-Sword resource for, you only get the resource for the e-Sword edition that its been made for; and that's it!

The fact that one can, e.g., use a NKJV.bbli or a NICNT.cmti file on e-Sword for PC, that is just merely a bonus. That's all it is, and nothing more than that. But then, that means nothing either, because even, e.g., the NKJV.bblx, and the NICNT.cmtx, etc., including refx files are in HTML format, and not rtf format. The only thing that is spat out in rtf format are the Topic Note, Study Note, and Journal Note files.

So, the hype over the HTML being used in iOS and Droid e-Sword resources in reality is a nothing burger because HTML is used right across all Bible, Commentary, Devotional, Dictionary/Lexicon, Reference Library etc., resources across all platforms e-Sword runs on.

So, going by what I see, the only resource files, i.e., Bible, Commentary, Devotional, and Dictionary resources that are still rtf, are those created in ToolTip Tool NT, and spat out for e-Sword PC edition.

So that's really all there is about that.

Blessings,

Stephen (Php 1:21).

Stephen, [also known as APsit190], Please open your eyes when downloading, from Bible Support, and notice the dates when the files were supplied and were last updated.

In the Download section, the Official e-Sword modules are classified in Bible Support as [1] Download e-Sword. These come from https://www.e-sword.net/

These include Official modules downloaded from inside e-Sword, using the built-in e-Sword Module Downloader.
Then there is a second set of Official e-Sword modules that are classified as [2] Premium Modules. These come from https://www.estudysource.com/  These will all be password protected, and are for the exclusive use of the person who purchased the use of these copyright modules.

The fact that newly downloaded Premium files from eStudySource, and the files directly downloaded from e-Sword using the in-built e-Sword Download Manager, do in fact provide files ending with file type xxxx, when downloaded to a PC, and file type xxxi, when downloading to Apple mac, iOS, or to e-Sword for Android, is not the important factor, when considering the option of downloading files from [3] Bible Support website.

When downloading from [3] the modules in the download section, from BIBLE SUPPORT, [1] look at the date the file was submitted, and [2] look at the version of e-Sword version for which the file was made. [3] If the date is prior to 2016, for example, 2012, and the webpage says this is for e-Sword Version: 9.x - 10.x then those files are in the OLD RTF coding. [4] If you notice that there was no update since 2016, when e-Sword version 11 was released, then do NOT expect the module to be in HTML Unicode. In these cases, there may be some problems to view these modules in the Bible Compare option.
[5] If there was an update made to the page in Bible Support, since about 2020-2021, when Billhuff2002 began assisting with the conversion of files to the new formats, then you will find an entry on the download page, located in the lower left corner, as follows: [6] What's New in Version (See full changelog) Uploaded Mac/e-Sword 11 version.

In these updated entries, you will find the older downloadable file modules with file type filename.xxxx and will also find newer converted files with file type filename.xxxi which are in the new HTML Unicode coding, and which work on e-Sword for the PC version 11, 12, and 13. These new files with filename.xxxi will also work on the e-Sword X for the Mac, e-Sword HD for the iPad, e-Sword HT for the iPhone and on e-Sword for Android.

Therefore, please look at the date of the supplied modules, and the date of the latest update or modification of the filename.xxxx files, and compare that with the date of the filename.xxxi files which were created for Mac/e-Sword 11 version. You will see the dates clearly displayed in the top right corner of the web page. Any files loaded from the exe  or zip type files will also indicate the last modified date, which in MOST cases will be prior to the year 2016. Thus these files which were loaded with a self-installing module are likely to be for e-Sword version 9 or version 10.

Because Josh Bond has setup Bible Support to have pre-version 11 classification of e-Sword version numbering, with version 9.X - 10.X specified as compatible with the modules supplied, the file types XXXX are likely to be the old pre-conversion modules, which are designed to run on e-Sword version 9 or 10, and will also run on the PC running later versions of e-Sword later. The XXXI downloadable modules are the Unicode HTML files that have been converted. The supplier will usually mention, on the frontpage of the download option, if the module is only applicable for Unicode e-Sword version 11 and later.

When Josh Bond upgrades the Community Forum Software, and revises the format of BIBLE SUPPORT website, then we could have [1] e-Sword version 8 and earlier, which are three-letter file types; [2] e-Sword version 9-10, which are four-letter XXXX file types. These will cater for pre-version 11 users. Then a third section, [3] which is for a post-version 11 classification of e-Sword modules, which are in XXXI file type format.

Stephen, there are still MANY entries in Bible Support website, that have NOT YET been converted, and still ONLY provide downloadable modules that are for use on the PC, and have no downloadable module in the form with file type having the last letter "i" which can be selected and downloaded for use by Mac, iOS, or e-Sword for Android.

The e-Sword PC Module Converter Conversion Utility v4.2.0 has been available since 2022-08-04 from https://www.e-sword.net/extras.html

When the user discovers that there is no downloadable module ending in file type with the fourth letter "i" then, in these situations, the user will need to use the search option using the name of the subject, and try to discover whether there is another entry, somewhere on Bible Support, where the modules for use by Apple or Mac has been provided.
