Has there been instances of corruption since the switch to SQLite database instead of Access? I've helped several people (who still use e-Sword 8) resolve corruption issues with Access. I'm yet to see a corruption issue with e-Sword 9's SQLite database?I've downloaded the new version and had a good look at it.
The changes Rick made to the editors are really great. I have only one major criticism about them which is the ability to create and save Topic, Study Note, and Journal files with a unique file name has been removed. The problem with this is it doesn't give the user the ability to distinguish his/her notes. Moreover, because of the issue with these files becoming corrupted, it means the user will lose all data when just kept on the default file names. This really is a bad move that Rick has done, and before the final release of this version of e-Sword, this should be re-incorporated into the File Menu. That said, at the moment the only way around that is to rename to files to what one wishes them to be.
For the STEP Reader in e-Sword 10: Tools > STEP ReaderIt looks like the STEP Reader is gone. To some this will be missed. Although I don't use this feature, nevertheless there may be many who do. So, I don't know if this was/is a good thing or not. It'll be interesting to see the comments and reactions to this.
