I think it would be nice to have an e-Sword version of Bob Utleys free online bible commentary. http://www.freebiblecommentary.org/

We have Dr. Utley's pemission to use his material. Dr. Utley's staff is trapped in the WordPerfect world and they're trying to escape. They perfectly formatted his commentary outlines for WordPerfect. But there's not a perfect conversion for WordPerfect, especially when there's elaborate formatting. It's counter-intuitive to think that there's not a one to one conversion for all data formatting but the deeper you go into the investigation of WordPerfect, the more crazy stuff you discover about its file formatting.

Every other line in his extensive outlines will need to be re-typeset. I concluded that when I looked into converting it for e-Sword. I explained my findings and they conceded they too had made the same conclusion and hoped I would find a way to get around re-typesetting the data. So, they are working on an HTML version of his material and we can use it when they are done.

Out of curiosity... could one save a Word Perfect file as a pdf, and then OCR it into a usable rtf file within Word?

No, not in a practical way.

What is the difference between the official version in WordPerfect, and the version that was released as an e-Sword resource?

Terrible formatting and the destruction of his outline formatting, I believe. Done properly, this resource would be in commentary format on the whole Bible that Utley has comments for and his fairly complex outlines would remain as he formatted them. The Utley camp wants his outlines formatted properly and that's why their going to the trouble of making the HTML. The HTML will import nicely into e-Sword.

Now, if you have a module you believe meets this criteria, please email it to me.

I'll agree that the formatting is terrible.

I didn't know that there were any outlines in those e-Sword resources.

I have Pickthall's in version 8 and have converted to 10 for myself. If I need to I will upload it. Someone needs to let me know.

Hello Sir,

I'd like to have that one, if possible. v10 is great. I also have the material as complete *.txt file, but I don't know to which format I should comvert it (bblx would not work, I guess - so maybe as topx?).

Thanks in advance.

In Christ,

Dear Josh,

I'd like, if possible, that someone might create a module with the deuterocanonicals/apocrypha of the LXX keyed with strongs.

Thank you!
