#35722 Frustrated Looking for HD (iPad) modules

I find it very frustrating when attempting to find modules for my iPad (e-Sword HD). Is there an easy way to do it that I am not aware of?

Anyone know the sources for the Berean Bibles? Are they Alexandrian or Byzantine?

#32470 PC to iPad

Posted by lewiej on 19 January 2018 - 12:12 PM

Just bought an iPad Pro. Heretofore, I have used a Dell PC and all of my e-Sword notes, etc are on that PC running ES 11.1. So how do I get my notes, etc to the iPad? Believe the current files are compatible with the iPad so no conversion necessary (?) I use GoogleDrive but don't think I can D/L the files from there with am iPad (?). Need some help. Thanks.

OK on the CTRL+A. Try this: right click on the first word in the verse, then drag the mouse pointer to the last word, highlighting all the words. Then CTRL+C to copy, then paste into your document.

Are the module files, i.e., Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, etc. the same for PC and Ios? IOW, do they run on either platform?

#31594 Editing Bible Module Name

Posted by lewiej on 05 October 2017 - 11:03 AM

The Scrivener 1894 module for MySword is listed as Greek1894 in the list of Bibles. The Stephanus is listed as TRi. How can I edit the names of these and/or other modules?

Those are the NA28 variants.

#30957 Variant markers

Posted by lewiej on 30 June 2017 - 02:46 PM

See Attached. Sorry but I am still trying to understand the GNT versions and marker formats. In the GNT INT+ screenshot of Mat 7:2, there is a red marker just above G488 antimetreō.

1. Assume this marker applies to text that follows?

2. Does it mean that the text that follows in the gray background are in the text of nu- alpha-B (NA28, SBL, Byz Majority)? Are these non-NA28 variants?

3. And at the end there is another red marker τσ. Assume that refers to the text above? Refers to the TR?

4. Are the GNT INT+ and the GRVi both using the SBL text as the base?

Sorry but I am thoroughly confused but trying to learn.

Does anyone know where I could obtain a Koine Greek font for MySword?

Some novice questions:

1) I downloaded the GRVi bible for e-sword and MySword. What does GRV mean?

2) What does the term variants mean relative to the above? Where are those variants shown in the GRVi ?

3) Where can I find the best info on Greek manuscripts, Bibles, translations, etc? I would like to learn more.

#28545 View all MySword Notes at once like e-Sword

Posted by lewiej on 09 August 2016 - 12:55 PM

In e-Sword I can view all my Study notes at once ("locate all study notes" icon in editor). Is there a way to do same in MYSword? I am going to upgrade to Deluxe this coming week. Perhaps it is a Deluxe feature only?

Both are available as pay modules from the download menu within e-Sword. Just click download and then Bibles.

Thanks Roy bt I was talking about those translations for MySword. Thought I posted in the MYSword forum....?

I have both in e-sword on my PC but would love to have them for my Kindle Fire MySword.

I love this app but do not use it because I cannot use ny favorite Bible translations, the NIV and the NASB. Gladly willing to pay for them. Anyone else interested?
