Some novice questions:

1) I downloaded the GRVi bible for e-sword and MySword. What does GRV mean?

2) What does the term variants mean relative to the above? Where are those variants shown in the GRVi ?

3) Where can I find the best info on Greek manuscripts, Bibles, translations, etc? I would like to learn more.

1) GReek Variants

2) click on Bible menu above and information

Greek New Testament with Variants (Greek-English Interlinear)
Markers for Variants:

ν = ΝΑ28 [=UBS5]
α = Alexandrian [= UBS3/UBS4/NA26/NA27]
τ = Stephens 1550 Textus Receptus.
σ = Scrivener 1894 Textus Receptus
β = Byzantine Majority

3) On Greek manuscripts textual variants do you need an apparatus.

For Bibles and translations is it hard to find neutral information. Except if you need raw data (year, translator(s), preface, style) about the Bibles or translations.

Those are the NA28 variants.

I am hardly an expert on this subject as I too am just learning but I do know that the markers only indicate the texts:

Sorry, I misspoke above (there was no screenshot as you indicated). The words in  gray are non-NA28 variants and the texts are indicated by the markers shown in the earlier posts. The NA28 variants (not in gray) have the markers VA (xxxxx). Here's Mat 1:5 using the Greek NT INT+.
