hey all. i have updated to the newest version of e sword. i have been trying to down load a reference book but to no avail. i have even downloaded the module installer. but the download of the reference book always goes to word pad and i cant figure out why. any suggestions would be appreciated.

What is the Web Browser you are using, Firefox, Chrome, IE, or Edge, or something else? The something else part may be out of my scope.

OK, here goes.

 

I'm a Firefox user, and so I had to do a little bit of digging in Edge to get the information you need.

 

In the menu at the top right corner, where you see 3 dots, click on that, then go to the bottom of the menu, and click on Settings. In your Settings, go to the bottom where it says, Advanced Settings, and on the button below, click on View advanced settings. Then, where you see Downloads, you will see where Edge downloads your files. The default is normally C:\Users\username\Downloads. If that is not what is showing, then click on the Change button, and change the folder to where you want your downloads to go.

 

I nearly forgot. Make sure the "Ask me what to do with each download" switch in on. I think this gives you the option of where you want to download your files.
