unable to install "open extended dictionary " files

Hi

Tried to install some of the above files However each time I received the remarks"Microsoft IME open extended dialog error :There is a problem with the dictionary file .Try to download again"

Did what i was instructed Same results

Please advise

Hi Tim,

You don't tell us what version of e-Sword you are using, and so this really makes it difficult if not impossible to help you. Moreover you're not telling us what the file format actually is that you're trying to install. Is it a dct, dctx, or a dcti file you're trying to install? So a heap more information is really required.

The esword version is :11.0.6 & the files in question are dctx(Open Extended Dictionary)

Are there any more details i need to furnish ?

You don't need to double click on the dictionary module for e-Sword 10 & 11 to "install" it.

dctx(Open Extended Dictionary)? It looks that the file extension is connected with another program but this is not the problem.

 

Just place the dctx in the e-Sword folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

or

C:\Program Files\e-Sword
