Thanks JPG. I have a question, but I can't read Greek, so I try to learn what I can from helps like this. In the example you used | ειπονG3004 V-2AAM-2S | ειπεG3004 V-2AAM-2S, the Greek word spelling is different, but the Strong's number, and morphological code are both the same. What does that mean?
Also, let's take Matt 1:9, you have | αχας | αχαζ |G881 N-PRI | αχας | αχαζ |G881 N-PRI, what does that mean? Everything looks the same.
I am using the e-Sword version, not theWord version. Does that matter?
If I understood you correctly, the first (red text in your example) is Westcott-Hort, and the second (green text in your example) is the NA27/UBS4 variant, Is that correct?
Thanks very much for your help.

That is as much as I know.
So for the example you ask about, apply the same principle

Well there is a different word ending [s] and [z] but they both are the person 'Achaz' [KJV]

Jon,
Thanks for your help, and understanding. The example I saw what you were saying in Matt 1:9, but I didn't see that it made any difference in translation in the RV 1881, ASV 1901, or any of the modern English versions. So I found that just because the variant is there in Greek, does not necessarily mean it effects the English translation. The only English translations where it was translated "Achas" were the 1611 KJV, and previous English versions. But that was probably more due to English changes rather than Greek text.
Thanks again.
