This may be an old topic for some... I thought the macros installed in MS word (that I downloaded for e-sword) would automatically copy the verse(s) to MS Word from e-sword when I click on the macro icon... Instead I'm brought to the Copy Verses Pop-up where I need to enter the verse via the pull downs... I thought that if I copied the verse in MS Word (CNTL-C), then clicked the macro icon, the verse would automatically be copied... What am I missing?

It sounds like you are going "the long way round".

The macros are made to allow you to select/change the transltion, do searches, and select verses (even spanning chapters) from the Word window without the need to "bounce" between the Word and e-Sword windows (in fact e-Sword doesn't even need to be running!). When you hit the "accept" or copy in the drop down it copies to Word.

This can even be taken a step further with an e-Sword utility called Hot Key which allows you to access the functionality of the macos using hotkeys.
Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)

"Defenders of the faith are inclined to be bitter until they learn to walk in the light of the Lord. When you have learned to walk in the light of the Lord, bitterness and contention are impossible." --Oswald Chambers, in Biblical Psychology from The Quotable Oswald Chambers.
