EDIT: By the way, LOVE centered headlines and section heads....

When the page size is bigger than screen size, centered headlines and section heads can be offscreen. I've seen that effect in a couple of e-Sword resources.

I've seen that also, but it's not consistant with all modules - and I don't know why. Perhaps the module creator is using tabs to center the heading? I don't know.....

Someone's brought this to my attention a couple of times. I thought I'd ask for your feedback here. Do you prefer left justified text or fully justified text? All official e-Sword resources are left justified. All other "e-Sword clone software", that I'm aware of, make their modules left justified. I personally prefer left justified because as the window is adjusted smaller, justified text can look increasingly "odd" as the lines are filled with spaces. e-Sword can't switch back and forth between justification--text is displayed according to how the module is made. Ultimately, it's easy to switch between full justification and left justification by searching/replacing a module's RTF tags with Raymond's tool. But how do you think modules should be made? Josh

Hi Josh,

When one buys a hardcopy book, in most cases the text is always fully justified. However, when it comes to electronic books (irrespective of the format) they all tend to end up just left justified (and I'm just talking about English Modules).

That said, I tend to think that when it comes to how one wants to present a document has to somehow come into consideration. So it sort of comes down to, What looks best is the way to present it.

On a personal note, I like the text fully justified because when it comes to printing it out, it looks much more presentable and professional - you know, that ascetic look in where it gives the text an even flow. Just taking a look at your screenshots, the page which has the Header centered and the body text fully justified has a very professional and neat look.

Having said that, and looking at Dr Dave's response, they are real issues that have to be taken into consideration, and of which I have no answer for. So, there we are.

Anyway, you've certainly raised an interesting thought.

Blessings,

in my view TOPX modules can have full justified text as they open in separate window (reference library window). if anyone wants to take print out of couple of pages the format looks good.

all remaining modules can go with left justified text.
