How does one delete a hyperlink or bookmark once they are created in a topic?

And, Why aren't these instructions included in the user guide?

I don't know of a command to remove a hyperlink or a bookmark using the e-Sword editor, so that's one reason it's not in the manual.

You can delete the hyperlinked text completely and then re-type the text. To delete a bookmark, I believe you would have to delete the whole paragraph that it's in? If you toggle the show/hide Paragraph icon, the bookmarks become visible.

I think there are basically one of two ways you can do this:
  • In the Topic Note Editor, select the bookmarked text and hit the Delete key, then retype the text. If that doesn't work, try this:
  • Open the Topic Note in SQLite Browser or Manager, and go to the note where you have the bookmarked text, then select the rtf code for the bookmarks and/or hyperlinks and delete them. Make sure you also remove the braces ( these squiggly things >>> {}) which are at the beginning and the end of the text.
As far as I'm aware, these are about the only two options available. I not certain if you can do this in T4, but there is no harm in trying, so give it a go and see if it works.

This worked for me:

Cut the text out of the notes editor, paste into a word processor and save as an .rtf file.

Then go to:

https://convertio.co/rtf-txt/

Upload the file.

Convert.

Download the converted file.

Open in the word processor.

Copy the text and paste it back into the study notes editor.

In Christ,

Jeff
