Hello I am new to this forum. I love the resources found here. I've been using the software for well over three years. I am a big fan of the Inductive study method. Are there symbols, diferent kinds of lines, type color change, highlighting as in the LOgos program available. I found sime macros on line to make some but I have'nt a clue about that. If I get some help, I'd love to be part of getting these resoures on E-Sword
Thank you,
Lisa Kropp
The only thing I know of is highlighting and underlining, both described in the user's guide (press F1 in e-Sword to see it). Note taking can be done in the Editors window (date based Journal Notes, verse based Study Notes, or topic based topic notes).
But I think you're wanting a lot more than that. I had you ask here in case anyone else knows of something different?
e-Sword really isn't comparable to Logos. Logos is in a class of its own. But Logos costs money, of course. e-Sword is free. e-Sword is geared more toward text synchronization and "simple" Bible study that an 8 to 80 year old can use with little to no training.

Inductive Study Method
My recommendation is to use the Study Note component, copying the appropriate text to the verse, and then doing the markup manually. Periodically (every 30 to 180 days,) convert your study note file to a commentary file.
Are there symbols, diferent kinds of lines, type color change, highlighting as in the Logos program available.
The markup overlay file enables users to highlight and underline text.
Underlining options:
- Thin Line;
- Thick Line;
- Waved Line;
- Dashed Line;
- No Line;
(No version of e-Sword offered all of these options)
- Dotted Underline;
- Dashed Underline;
- Dot Dashed Underline;
- Dash Dotted Underline;
- Dash dot Dot Underline;
- Wave Underline;
- Hairline Underline;
- Double Underline;
- Word Strikethrough;
Highlight colour options:
- Aqua;
- Blue;
- Fuchsia;
- Lime;
- Orange;
- Yellow;
- Clear;
- Custom;
- Clicking the custom Color icon, displays a basic forty six color palette;
- An additional sixteen custom colors can also be displayed;
