I have run E Sword on Linux using PlayOnLinux and WINE for years but I found a better (easier steps and newer Esword version) way recently.

I have installed E-Sword on two computers running Linux Mint. Here are the steps i followed:

1. See  “How To Install Virtualbox 7 On Linux And Create A Windows 11 Virtual Machine” follow video instructions https://www.youtube....ll&index=1&t=3s

Be sure to press “enter” when this shows up to boot from the iso

(might need to do step 6 https://easylinuxtip...virtualbox.html if windows does not install.)

2. Shut windows down then do steps 6-11 from

https://easylinuxtip...virtualbox.html

( if step 9 does not work, read below)

Quick note: the guest additions is the package that contains all the virtualbox drivers to allow the operating system to work correctly in the virtual environment. (https://pureinfotech...s-11-virtualbox )

You can experience true 3d acceleration, screen size selection, and many of the other great benefits that come with using virtualbox guest additions, like shared clipboards and file sharing from host to guest and back.
