Good afternoon, and thanks for all your hard work with Bible Support .Com what a tremendous resource this is.

I have tried to install this resource

Chafer, Lewis S. - Major Bible Themes.top.exe

And for some reason cant get it to open, I also have other resources with the same problem, Watchman Nee - The Normal Christian Life. 

Not sure what the issue is, any help or recommendation would be appreciated.

Files with exe file extension are self installing files, in other words you must run the exe files to install the modules in to e-Sword

You selected an option in Bible Support which is specifically for files with the module file name extension "top", which is clearly identified to be for users who are running e-Sword version 8. With e-Sword version 9 and later, there was a design change, by the developer, Rick Meyers, and the format of the file names changed to topx.

*.topx files Please run your e-Sword on a Microsoft PC or laptop, and then use the keyboad option F1 function key, which will call up the e-Sword User's Guide, in PDF format. Please read page 2. Also look in e-Sword tag to "Options", "Resource Options", and write down the names of the two folders shown in the window for Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, Devotions, Graphics, Reference Books. These are for (1) Resources Location, and (2) User Files Location. If you arrange to copy the downloaded *.topx files into the Drive and folder shown in the "Resources Location" window, then you will be able to view the contents through the Reference Library window options. If you arrange to copy the downloaded *.topx files into the Drive and folder shown in the "User Files Location" window, then you can view the contents in the Topics Editor options.

 

*.refi files. You will find that since January 2022, there are also *.refi files provided at the above mentioned link. These can run on the Microsoft PC, running e-Sword version 11 and later; and will also load on the Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Use the latest version of e-Sword which is applicable for your device. 

 

For loading details, please access https://www.e-sword.net and click on the LINKS option. Select the e-Sword version for your type of operating system. Then on the webpage on which you arrive, click on the FAQ page, and follow the instructions.

I have noted a link to the resource that works with e-Sword 10+ and other platforms, in those two downloads that were for e-Sword 8
