Who wants to tackle this? It's Spurgeon's commentary on Matthew...

http://grace-ebooks.... on Matthew.PDF

Extract the text, possibly using www.pdftoword.com, unless there's a better copy on a website somewhere.

Remove all the bad line breaks (if any). Remove the page numbers.

Change each blue header from "CHAPTER 23:13-33" to "Matthew 23:13-33". Consider changing the blue to black.

Put a ÷ in front of each blue section that you just changed from "Chapter" to "Matthew.

Using Tooltip 4, tooltip the document (Scripture > Tooltip).

Scan the text for any untooltipped references (like 1:1 which should be Matthew 1:1 or verse 5 or ver. 5 or vv.5-6 which needs a book+chapter number in front of them).

Then let me know if you want it as a commentary or topic file, and I'll tell ya what to do next. :)

The Bruised Reed By Richard Sibbes

The Rent Veil by Horatius Bonar

The Attributes of God by A. W. Pink

I'm not saying that they don't need to be looked at and maybe updated, or given a good once over to bring them to the standards of this site. But I am saying lets not do double work.

Forgive my ignorance, Josh, but how does one aquire that division character that is to be placed before the book of the
bible under consideration? "Put a ÷ in front of each blue section that you just changed from "Chapter" to "Matthew."

You can copy the ÷ sign from here and paste it. To generate it, hold the ALT key and type 0247 on your keyboard's number pad. Alt-0247.

Lux,

using T3 or T4, go to "Marks / Set Mark" (or CTRL-M). Using a word processor, you'll have to find the division symbol. (It doesn't have to be highlighted in red, though.)

Or...

Somewhere in the forums (can't remember where) quick and simple instructions are given on how to change a keystroke in MS Word to insert the division symbol. I used it, and now I just type ctrl-m, and voila! Instant division mark. Wish I could remember which forum post it is...

EDIT - FOUND IT!

http://www.biblesupp...ch__1#entry4351

I used ctrl-m, but you can use whichever combination you want.

My first heads up on what I'm working on. "The Martyrs Mirror". Should be done in about a week. You can see a sneak preview here.
