#43708 Ref tag in Word

Posted by owo on 15 November 2022 - 07:37 AM

Hi Everyone,

I know this is a bit off topic...What I would  like to do is send a friend a word doc or even an email where whenever he runs across a Bible reference it will pop-up with the verse automatically.

This is a new believer and I do not want to have to have him downloading things and trying to set-up esword or anything just yet...Any Ideas?

Regards, Jeff

#29608 Colored Fonts in .BOK files

Posted by owo on 05 December 2016 - 12:03 AM

Hi,

Just checking back....I know that Mysword now has .rtf capabiites and we have several .topx files that we would like to convert to .bok fies but wanting to have them still retain the colored fonts that we have in the .topx files.

I hope this makes sense...We have the files already converted to .bok files and they work great...just hoping there is an easy conversion now to have the original colored fonts show up in mysword... (-:

#23044 Little blue cirlce

Posted by owo on 07 December 2014 - 11:21 AM

Hi Everyone,

I am having an issue that I have actually noticed for quite a long time with Esword but it wasn't much of an urgency til now....

When I am reading out of the EDITORS section as I move the cursor the little blue thinking wheel keeps coming up...This gets to be very distracting when I am teaching online. I have an I5 with 8G of Ram and cannot understand why this would take place....?

I just had a check and I am NOT getting this on the BIBLE,COMMENTARY or DICTIONARY sections just the EDITOR section. Has anyone else ran into this and is there an way to settle down my cursor? LOL  :)

#22619 Patchworkid"s Study bible

Posted by owo on 25 October 2014 - 05:01 AM

Just downloaded this resource last night and have been scrolling through it for several hours....AMAZING concept with pictures, charts, maps, cross references, exegetics of the text right in the verse itself, Chapter and Paragraph headings, COLOR CODING, ( I probably left out a lot more)

Would highly recommend a peek at this Bible to anyone!

This is a promising & great resource (I know you are still fine tweaking this) and can't imagine the hours of research needed for understanding and implementation of this cool concept Niobi, Thanks again!

#21582 Mysword in Windows!

Posted by owo on 17 July 2014 - 12:51 AM

Through a series of coincidences (wink) God lead me to be able to put Mysword on my PC..

1. Download Bluestack app player

2. Find browser in bluestack and go to google playstore

3. Download Mysword & ES File explorer

4. Download basic files for Mysword

5. Copy your mysword folder from your Tablet or Phone onto your PC

6. OPTIONAL Open ES File explorer and use this to add your own custom modules to your new Mysword folder on your PC

Voila! That's it....I have been using is it for several days now, no glitches and you can even put your DELUXE or PREMIUM version in there for use especially for the split screen mode.

Also IVONA text to speech is available which I have found to be a great study tool for reading and concentrating on large chunks of passages

#21106 Can I add/edit the cross reference?

Posted by owo on 18 May 2014 - 02:59 AM

Hi Guys!

Hey I use the TAG to put a cross-reference LINK so it shows up at the end of the verse  (or you can use a custom placement if you are only referencing the 1st or 2nd part of a verse)

1 Choose tag

2. check ad hoc

3.in tool bar on top scroll to find the sheet of paper with a yellow dot in right hand corner and a chain around it...

4. then add bible (or any other choice you would like to link to)

5. Find verse

6.press save and voila!

7(between step 5-6 I highlight the link and format it with U underline so when I come across it again I know right away it is a link)

#20626 Prepare teachings/sermons in e sword/theWord and use MySword to teach from

Posted by owo on 03 March 2014 - 04:19 AM

Hi Pete,
Interesting stuff there, mate.

You know, interestingly a lot of pastors use PowerPoint presentation either on their laptop, or the PC via a projector thingy. Some pastor's, I've noticed some Pastors use e-Sword, or some other Bible Software in that same way to present their sermon.

I know at my Church (Christchurch North Elim), my pastor tends to preach PowerPoint slideshows a lot which comes from a PC and shown through a projector thingy.

Now, considering that, I'm curious in knowing if a i.e., Samsung Tablet running Android and MySword can be connected to a projector and used in that way.

Blessings,

 Hi,

I also researched this and found this tool to be great for one on one (projecting image from my tablet to someone else's tablet or phone) or projecting to a Big screen.... http://www.mirrorop.com/

Pray that helps!

#20415 A Chronological Bible

Posted by owo on 10 February 2014 - 11:13 AM

  Thanks Stanley,

this inspired me as I was reading your email this morning I ran across a document in one of my dropboxes it was an old PDF file of a chronological order more like what you're talking about, a storybook type overview which would be fantastic for the purpose I'm creating it for...instead  of a long intensive version which I'll probably end up finishing also..... But I will do this new version of the story book style 1st and email it to you as soon as I get it.

#20407 A Chronological Bible

Posted by owo on 09 February 2014 - 07:02 AM

Hi Everyone,

I found a decent break down of the Old testament books in a chronological order of basic events. Now I wanted to cut and paste the format to make one cohesive Bible text.....

So I have started in ESWORD and started adding the headings and the actual BIBLE TEXT in the order of arraignment as has been dictated by my source in the .TOPX format with the hopes of making it also readable for the MYSWORD.

Does this sound like a good approach or would you suggest something else? Is there any limit in how much I can add to a .TOPX file before it becomes unusable??

Appreciate any suggestions or help with this!

Cheers, jeff

SOLVED!

Thanks to HIS providential leading...... :)

1. Go to Preferences/color theme/copy

2. COPY the theme you want to work with and then RENAME it when prompted.

3. Now select the theme you have RENAMED and hit the EDIT button on the top right hand side.

4. A whole new menu will open up and the first line of the menu has a drop down menu that can let you edit BACKGROUND,FONT, HIGHLIGHTS ect.....
