#36808 Isa 11:3 & Strong's Conc NASB+

Posted by jmloy on 18 October 2019 - 09:01 PM

I am studying Isa 11 and I notice that the Hebrew text is not completely represented in the KJB+ where it is in the NASB+ but the Strong's is not working with the numbers with a reference note to them. Particularly verse 3 "quick understanding of the fear of the LORD" has in the KJB+ only the Hebrew for spirit.

Why? And how do we see the annotation for the NASB+?

#33744 Bibles - UPDV Updated Bible Version (PC & Apple)

I don't recommend this *version* whatsoever. This is worse than the publishers of the New World Translation bible

#31870 Can't open downloaded bibles

Posted by jmloy on 19 November 2017 - 06:21 AM

Okay your problem might be the file name of the MLV-2017 file does the file name look like this 00_MLV2017.bblx?

Try renaming the unzipped file MLV2017.bblx then click it and the module installer should open and install the file with just a single mouse click. If E-Sword is open, close it and reopen it after the installer finishes and see if the module is now visible.

Oh heavens, I did try this and to no avail. I can't comprehend what I must be doing wrong. Can you connect with me remotely and take a look at it?

#31816 Can't open downloaded bibles

Posted by jmloy on 14 November 2017 - 08:40 AM

I have E-sword installer and I've downloaded bibles before but some are not opening up. I downloaded the MLV 2017 as a zip file. Opened it up and clicked on the e-sword mlv module and it automatically loads the E-sword program but the MLV is not loaded.

Any suggestions?

#31488 Interlinear Greek-English Text for TR on PC

Posted by jmloy on 21 September 2017 - 06:57 AM

I see a lot of stuff by Eli Wong (hope I spelled that correctly) but nothing that can be used primarily for E-sword PC.

Is there any such Greek-English interlinear available for PC that uses or includes the T.R,?

Also, is there anyone that has a video Tutorial how to make a module...a step by step for dummies like me. I, for some reason cannot grasp it by reading because I have questions questions questions from the startup. I need to see it. I've spent a lot of money on paid modules and I don't want to go to a different program so I'd like to create what I would like if no one else is going to.

I was disappointed they walked back their rule and are just using LORD instead of Yahweh.

I wouldn't have any objection to Yahweh for the OT but for the NT it is all Lord. I think following the Septuagint and Greek manuscripts example of using kurios is consistent and acceptable.

#29814 Keeping in Prayer

Brethren,

May I please encourage you all to make a note to include the website moderators and keepers in prayer. I love this site and my heart is drawn to these wonderful people who maintain this site. I am praying for them and I ask that you would do the same.

Also donations to this site is always welcomed and appreciated. I ask for them, I am not involved with the site but I am a lover of it.

Thank you all!

#29598 Study Note Suggestions

Posted by jmloy on 04 December 2016 - 06:53 AM

Hi,

I enjoy doing word studies and often I will have comment about several words within a verse. I want to separate them from each other (easy enough to do) but do you have any suggestions how, when reading through a chapter that there is a comment in the verse(s)?

I don't think we can insert a number or a letter next to the word as in study bibles or can we? If not what would be the format that you all would use?

Thanks for any suggestions.

#29317 The Chapter headings and intros

Posted by jmloy on 30 October 2016 - 01:48 PM

I'm reading Luke 10 and the heading for 10:1 and 17 follow The Vulgate Latin and Persic versions which read here, "the seventy two",

Why is this so?

Before downloading, can you tell us if we will lose any downloaded modules?

#28114 Geneva Bible w/updated spelling

Posted by jmloy on 03 July 2016 - 11:45 AM

I did a search in the forums and it appears the last serious answer to the request for the updated spelling Geneva Bible was back in 2014. I have the PDF version. I was wondering if there are any plans to make one available for E-sword (the whole bible).

Thanks,

Mitch

#27165 Bible Support Website

Posted by jmloy on 24 February 2016 - 11:02 PM

I notice that there is little interaction here on Bible Support. We do not hear from the administrators. This site could be a valuable treasure (beyond just a resource) from ideas and thoughts from the creators of this sight as well as from Rick Meyers.

Or does this site prefer to remain as it is?

I would like to draw more attention to the use of the E-sword program especially within the blogs. It would be great to hear from the creators of modules and of this site.

The potential here is huge but there has to be an interest.

What do you all think?

#26990 Question on KJV + TVM

Posted by jmloy on 07 February 2016 - 09:26 AM

I could have sworn I downloaded this module a while back and it's no longer in my E-sword program. I checked the resources and it's not there. Am I missing something here?

Where can I download the module? I looked and looked to no avail.

Please advise.

#26622 What's the Story with Rick Meyers?

This is true. He hasn't budged in the vision that he was given and has kept it free. Kudos to the man and the ministry and for his faithfulness.
