Hello, I have The Scriptures (ISR) 1998 with footnotes. I am Looking for a Dictionary that is Compatible. Here is a sample of a verse that has Hebrew......Mat 1:1  The book of the genealogy of יהושע Messiah, Son of Dawiḏ, Son of Aḇraham. I have downloaded several Dictionaries but none work when i try to get a definition on the Hebrew part of the scripture יהושע

Any help would be appreciated.

The reason why it not work is that the input of the PC version of e-Sword is based on RTF code for Hebrew script but the output is based on Unicode.(UTF-8)

Input {\f2 \'e9\'e4\'e5\'f9\'f2}

By a HTM version for Apple is the input the same as the output so there is the problem fixed

יהושע=Jesus=Jeshua or Joshua are the same name in Hebrew, Greek and Latin. (the spelling is a point of discussion by them).

See Strong numbers H3091 and H3442

The same with JHVH: see the Strong numbers H3068 and H3069

Thank you for your reply, I have Microsoft Windows 10, would you happen to know if the HTM version for apple will work with my operating system?

Side question that I have wondered about: Why would a language translator, translating Greek into English, insert Hebrew into a text that was specifically penned in Greek, and distributed in Greek by the inspired author?

Good question. Hebrew text were translated into Greek and Latin text given preference to Greek Mythology not the Hebrew mindset. I have yet to get the Greek text but I have seen Revelation 13:18 in the greek and it is not a number but a symbol. I do not speak or read Greek/Hebrew. As the KJV was my first word to study at 5 years old, now i am older and have begun the hebrew. I will get to greek last. It is real hard for me to see these in a different language i may need to hire a tutor in both hebrew and greek but for now I can only afford what e-sword has to offer as it is free and I am grateful for the software.

This is not a discussion forum but feel free to make a topic about it there:

http://www.biblesupp...nterpretations/

Because I want to discuss about the "number of the Beast", the Hebrew mind set and "the scriptures 1998" or similar translations.

But now must I sleep.

why is this not in the http://www.biblesupp...nterpretations/ section

I at the least wanted to read the discussion

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
