There are two downloadable files supplied by BibleSupport.com, from Module Robot, submitted Aug 10, 2011, and last updated Jan 22, 2022.

Misc. Apocrypha - 69 Books.topx             4.2MB

misc_apocrypha_-_69_books.refi             4.21MB

The file with file extension “topx” is for the use of e-Sword for the PC. The file with the file extension “refi” can be read in the Reference Library window, on all the latest versions of e-Sword.

Please read the C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword\e-sword_guide.pdf which was installed on your PC when you last loaded e-Sword for the PC. Please read pages 1, 18, 20, 39, 40, 41, 44. The Reference Library is now the central location to view your downloaded Topic files and a new file type called “Reference Books” (filenames ending with the letters after the period “refx” or “refi”). In previous versions of e-Sword, the Topic Notes window displayed downloaded, third-party Topic Notes to the same folder as the Resources Location. Now, this material is viewed through the Reference Library instead of using the Topics Editor.

In July 2014, e-Sword version 10.4 was released. New features include User Files Location field in the Resources dialog for customizing where you wish for your user files to be located, separate from Resources Location where other e-Sword files are stored.

In July 2016, e-Sword version 11.0 was released. New features include all new HTML-based resources,

The file with the file extension “refi” is suitable for e-Sword X for the Mac, e-Sword HD for the iPad, e-Sword LT for the iPhone, and e-Sword for Android devices. Will also work with e-Sword for the PC running with e-Sword versions 11 and later.

When the file has downloaded to the PC, view the Properties, and remove the block, by selecting the check box alongside “Unblock”, then select “Apply”, and “Ok”. Copy and paste the files to the required folders.

So basically topx & refi are now all lumped together in the Reference Library tab, is that correct?  Therefore it is unnecessary to have both files on the computer, correct?
