Ok, I got the Jonathan Mitchell New Testament all ready for ESword thanks to your great tips and software. This version has been on Amazon for some time now and we are wondering how to go about charging a fee for it so that ESword can also receive a portion?

according to Brent's copyright you may not use Tooltip NT for commercial use

Oh, how do all these other bibles that I have paid for get on ESword? I was told ESword may have had to pay a fee but we are not looking for any fee so maybe someone can fill me in more on the matter.

I dont know the exact process but the resource is negotiated between Rick and the copyright holder of the resource
estudysource also does this
All bibles you find here on this site art public domain or permission wass given by copyright holder for non commercial use
all resources on this site are free

If you are the copyright holder you can upload for free here if you choose
If you are not the copyright holder and the resource is still in copyright you need the copyright holders permission to release it

Well, we aren't a business, we are a ministry. (knowing the differing opinions on this issue) So if someone has a resource and doesn't want to charge ESword but have ESword and Brent [not knowing their arrangement] to benefit, this isn't allowed? Or does Brent have a fee for this? I hope to get more clarity and thank you for your responses and I understand your response regarding copyright.

commercial use Is charging a fee for what ever reason, using Brent's tooltip NT and charging for the resource is commercial use
How Brent would respond would be up to Brent
I just know what his copyright says when you open NT its on the info screen

When you install e-Sword you agree that you will not sell e-Sword modules. This isn't a copyright but it is a license agreement. If the license agreement is enforceable, you would need Rick Meyer's permission to sell e-Sword modules. Realistically, you would want his permission before selling a module because e-Sword can block specific modules from appearing. Interestingly, no such license agreement exists for the e-Sword HD/LT modules (for the iOS Apple devices).
Brent's ToolTip is subject to a similar license agreement--that you won't use it for commercial purposes.

Ok, I am still foggy on this and will take it to someone at Esword. It may be off topic for this forum. I am not talking about using/selling something that ESword sells. I am talking about something we have full rights to and letting ESword sell it to help contribute to ESword and/or Tooltip. Thanks for all the help on this issue!

I assumed you checked this site for that resource (that's what I get for assuming)
it is all ready available for e-Sword here for free
there is no point in trying to sell it for whatever reason
