I ran across this website today. This guy is translating the Bible into English from Hebrew. Currently he only has Zephaniah, Ruth, and part of Psalms completed.

The reason I mention this at all is because he also has an e-Sword version (updated as he completes more) on his website. Also a TheWord version.

Just in case any of you are interested.

Thank you for your interest.

אשׁ מן־השׁמים, the heavenly fire, is my bible translation project. It is based on no previous translation, seeks extreme fidelity to the artistic form and communicative intent of the Masoretic Text, includes innovative new renderings, and is being released under a Creative Commons license that allows it to be used pretty much by anybody for anything. Additional content will include a translation of the gospel of Matthew from an ancient Hebrew manuscript confiscated from the Jews during the Inquisition and a translation of the Hebrew version of Psalm 151 from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Although it will take a long time to translate the entire Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, I am editing, revising, and expanding the translation almost daily. E-sword and other modules are updated each time the translation of another biblical book is completed. At this time, that includes Ecclesiastes and Zephaniah (Ruth is being revised).

All glory to the One who spoke heaven and earth into being and to Yeshua the king!
