Never afraid of a large project, James Rice (Cato) is at it again. This time he's reformatted and added thousands of pages of content to David Guzik's Commentary on the Whole Bible. He's given the module a drastic update.

This is a modern, dispensational commentary based on the King James text, although other translations can be used. Every book of the Bible now has commentary. James added thousands of pages of new content. This is now one of the best commentaries, if not the best commentary, available for e-Sword (in our opinions).

Changes and updates include:
  • the addition of thousands of pages content (now over 25 megabytes of text!)
  • removal of HTML tags and other corrupted text
  • retention of outline formatting but without the extreme indenting
  • better color formatting
  • consistency of paragraph formatting without extra paragraph breaks
  • Tooltipped/linked implict verse references
  • Added Psalm 24 (April 11, 2012)
If you appreciate the effort that went into writing this commentary, consider a donation to David Guzik's ministry.

If you appreciate the effort that went into reformatting and updating this e-Sword module, don't forget to thank James Rice in the comments of the file. Modules of this size require a lot of time!

It is a great commentary, but I have noticed that several chapters of the Bible do not have anything in them from the commentary. Is it just me or am I missing something?

It's possible Cato overlooked them, or more likely, that Guzik has no commentary for that passage.

Thank you for the kind compliments. Please note that Guzik Commentary is missing most the Psalms, Jeremiah, Lamentation, Ezekiel and Proverbs. To this date he has not shared anything on those books of the Bible.

I saw on twitter that David posted more commentary today on Psalm 24, maybe someday he will have completed the whole Bible :)

It looks like he is actively working on Psalms.

This commentary is really good. I am pleasantly surprised and will look for more works by Guzik.
"Col 2:6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
Col 2:7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude."
