This is an excellent little commentary which gives insights to how Jews during that time thought and believed. If you read John 4 of the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman over the issue of worship, the one thing you will notice in the Commentary is a bit of a history about how the Samaritans came about.

I've noticed that this commentary gives insights to things in the New Testament that is not seen or found in other Bible commentaries, mainly because it comes from a Messianic Jewish perspective.

If I were a Messianic Jew, I would give this commentary 4 stars.

But considering I'm you average Gentile (Goy) Believer, I give this commentary 3 stars.

Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).
