Hey, I just had a question about the Luther Bible download. Is it the actual New High German 1534 Translation or is it been re-translated into modern German ?

We don't have the 1534 edition here but there is a LB1545 with updated spelling.
The Official e-Sword download is the 1912 edition.
The Original 1534 edition has the "Long S" ( ſ ) and the letters v and u are sometimes interchanged.
The Original 1534 edition does not support the "Comma Johanneum" but is closer to the Textus Receptus( Received Text) stream than modern editions of the Luther Bible that are Critical Text based.
There is only one edition of the Luther Bible that contain the "Comma Johanneum" that is the 1575 edition (So after the death of Luther).
The Word Of God For All Nations (Compiled by Dr. Phil Stringer; reviewed by all the board members of the William Carey Bible Society
Luthers Bible has been revised dozens of times. The revisions differ dramatically in their faithfulness to Luthers original translation and to the Received Text. Versions of Luthers Bible are available from many sources including Independent Baptist Publishers. It is often very hard to identify which version is being printed. According to Lutheran sources, the 1868 revision is the last conservative edition.
Here is the LB1530 edition (you need to allow flash and use another browser than Firefox).
(I'm not sure about the transliteration of the big I that is used as "I" and "J"). Whille the big J also existed.
