There are tools that say they can convert from logos to e-sword, how correct these conversions is, I can't say as I've never tried it, since I don't own any logos software

I've been using e-Sword since 2005, and I haven't seen tools available for converting Logos (Libronix) resources to e-Sword. This isn't saying that there weren't or aren't any around. I'm just saying that I'm doubtful there are any floating around. With that said, I'm also acutely aware that I could be wrong, and someone may pop up and say so, and name such a tool and could even be possible to tell us where it can be gotten.

Hi,

Logos has what they call 'Personal Books'.

These are, for the most part, docx files with some embedded codes for formatting.

Here are the first three verses of Genesis (KJV).

Genesis Chapter 1

@Bible:Gen 1:1 1:1 >> Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

@Bible:Gen 1:2 1:2 >> Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

@Bible:Gen 1:3 1:3 >> Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And this is what is displayed...

Genesis
Chapter 1
1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
1:3  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

What the afore mentioned application does is take a module (bibles only!) and creates this docx file. The utility calls it an 'LOGO import file'.

It does work for the most part *** on non-encrypted, non-commercial files/resources ***

Hope this helps.....

Roy

added....

You can see formatting info on the LOGOS wiki pages.... https://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books

While the utility will only help with Bibles, you can use standard e-sword / theWORD module utilities to get a module into docx format and then edit/add the LOGOS specific formatting. The hard/busy part is putting together the index (thats where the afore mentioned utility helps out. It builds the index for you).

I have also seen (but can not currently find) a way to format the headers/footers that theWORD can put on copied verses from a bible to help you export a bible you have in theWORD to LOGOS. in essence add in the formatting.
