The people who worked on this resource do not know Lugandan. It desperatly needs to be proof read by a native speaker.

Can you help me build a module from scratch.

The only assistance I can provide, is to outline what to do, and perhaps, how to do it.

The most important thing that is needed is a clean text:
  • The words are spelled correctly;
  • The grammar is correct;
  • The book, chapter, and verse markers are in the correct place;
  • Plain text format;
Ideally, either UFM or OSIS is used for markup.
VPL works, but lacks the semantic markup that both UFM and OSIS offer.

Once the content is in that form, then it can be easily imported into e-Sword, using Python, PERL, NT4, BeST 2.x, or one of the other tools designed to ease the process of making resources.

Hi,

I have given you rtf - start the bible and two versions of e-Sword.

What I did was open your file in office word, select all copy in Tool Tip Tool 3.52. Select all , copy plain Text , Paste in Tool Tip Tool NT (for better editing)

That is the best I can do for now
check out: http://www.biblesupp...-tool-tip-tool/
Attached File  John Uganda.zip   7.84K   6 downloads

you can also open the module using T4- read bible

thanks
Niobi

so how do I make it into a module

Option # 1: Write a PERL, Python, or LUA script to convert the SQL database you have to SQLite;
Option # 2: Rewrite the data as a plain text file, and then import it into e-Sword format, using your favorite toolkit;

As a general rule of thumb, option # 2 will be faster, and easier to do.

Hi all,

If you want something made into an e-Sword Module - Please post the Text (in Word, PDF, website or etc) so we can have something to work with.

I could not help Laurence until he gave me text to work with.

thanks
