Hi,

The Hebrew text in E-Sword is currently displaying in a sans serif font that looks like Arial.  I don't like the look of this font and it is hard to read with small text.  I have downloaded several Unicode Hebrew fonts.  I keep changing the Hebrew font with the Options -> Fonts dialog to different Unicode serifed fonts which support diacritics.  However, the font for Hebrew text never changes.  No matter what I do, the sans serif font stays.  I have restarted e-sword many times and also restarted my computer.

I am running e-sword v. 11 on Windows 10.

Thanks!

I noted this issue to Rick Meyers, the developer of e-Sword and this was his response.

* The display control seems to have a mind of its own in the rendering of right-to-left languages.  It is being told to use the correct font, but it is not doing so.  I cannot fix what I didn't write.

Thanks for asking about this!

I guess I'm confused.  The developer is saying he didn't write the code for the display?  Who did?

"display control" is related with the program language not with the input of the programmer.

So the developer must wait until an update of "display control" that fix the problem.

e-sword v. 11 is based on HTM Apple and is for a part compatible with the RTF modules.

The RTF based HOT and HOT+ fix the problem however they are not compatible with compare and parallel mode.

So the developer has dropped the support for those files.

*Looking to the other Hebrew modules here*

They have the same problem! Even if you convert the RTF based HSB into HTM Apple modules
