Hi,

I am using version 2.51 to create a bible for a bible translation team.

However, this bible need to use Tools\Reset All Characters and Tools\TRIM RTF functions.

The problem is when I use these functions, the original file which is a Red Letter edition of the bible will still appeared "as normal" in the editor, but the bible module created and view in e-Sword 10.4.0 will all turned to black (missing Red Letter).

Do you experienced the same problem?

Blessings,

from Stanley

My guess is this:

e-Sword supports the colors shown in the toolbar on ToolTip NT. The red you are using isn't one of the red's that e-Sword supports. This could be remedied by search/replacing the old red with the right red in Microsoft word.

By a RTF is it easy to change the colours without changing colour tags.

Open the RTF with notepad: here is an example:

{\colortbl;\red0\green128\blue0;\red128\green128\blue128;\red0\green128\blue128;\red255\green0\blue0;\red0\green0\blue255;}

( green is here \cf1  grey  is \cf2 and \cf0 means stop colour )

\red255\green0\blue0; is the pure red that is supported by e-Sword; if you find a high red number for example \red230\green0\blue0;  then replace the red230 to red255

HI Brother Josh,

Sorry I am very weak in the search and replace functions. How to search and replace a red and a grey colour text in Microsoft Word?

Brother Katoog, in which line I should change the RTF code that only affect the bible verses, this is because I have tried to use Notepad++ to open the RTF file and replace all the red### (where ### is a number) to red255, the entire file when opened in T4 (e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT) will be in red.

Thanks a lot for all your helps!

Blessings,

from Stanley

\cf1 , \cf2 , \cf3 ,... are the colour tags but the colour depends of the order of the {\colortbl line

\cf0 tag is made to stop the colours (this is a closing tag that brings the text back to the black default)

In this example is only the word "is" in colour (except the first "is")

Rev 22:11  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still:\line\tab and he that \cf2 is\cf0  filthy, let him be filthy still:\line\tab and he that \cf2 is\cf0  righteous, let him be righteous still:\line\tab and he that \cf2 is\cf0  Holy, let him be Holy still.\par

I didn't said that you must replace all the colours.

Copy to here the line with {\colortbl;

Then know I the colours and the values of the \cf tags.

Hi, Thanks again to Brother Josh Bond and Katoog,

I have fixed the Red colour formatting error in a new bible and will go and make a Red Letter edition of the bible now.

Blessings,

from Stanley
