If you are not familiar, check out the app called "YouVersion." They have many many translations that can be downloaded and are free to use in "YouVersion."
By following the directions you give here, can I convert these files to be used in MySword?

Or maybe someone already has the versions I am looking for: NLT and NASB.

Interesting, thanks for the tip on YouVersion.

Unfortunately, no one here can give you NLT or NASB for any program because the text is sold in stores, copyrighted, and encrypted. As a side note, I didn't realize posting was enabled for guests. Now that the posting permission is fixed, you will need to create an account to reply or post again.

How do sites like YouVersion (where you can download versions of the Bible to your phone for free) get the licensing worked out where E-Sword cannot?

The site (which is really LifeChurch.tv) is either paying licensing fees or the content owners agreed to let them use their material for free.

If your willing to give away whatever product you're working on, not all content owners will demand licensing payment. But certainly, if you charge for the content/program/website/finished product in any way, you can't blame them for wanting their cut. ESV is well known for letting websites use their translation for free, as long as no money changes hands. Other translations are known for demanding a licensing fee no matter what.

It's an interesting website, you can see other people's comments on whatever verse you're reading.

Okay. Thank you for the insight. It is just interesting that I have the free NASB on my phone and paid for it on my computer.
