I was a early fan of Bible software, started with Logos 1.0 in 1996 (very similar to the way esword works even today). In 2002 I came upon eSword liked it too. Most of the time I lived outside the USA as a missionary in many places and through many trials. But now I am settling in the USA and decided to bite the bullet and get ESword 10. I had received as gifts or paid for the NIV, NASB, NET, Message .bbl, but now need .bblx. Do I have to re-buy all the Bibles I want? What happened to the NET Bible with footnotes? I have been through many hard drives, viruses, etc, but had saved the .bbl files on cd so was always able to just copy and paste them back into existence. If it makes any difference in a small way I helped complete the ISV Bible by recruiting one of the major scholars that finished it for ISV (Davidson Press) (not making it a .bbl module). Also where is My Utmost .dev I have the Word Study module too .dct and the NET .cmt? Are they gone forever. Or do I re-buy them? I am still a 'poor' missionary with kids, I hate to waste missions funds re-buying what I rightly own. Any help about getting this working again would be nice. Or should I go back to 8.05? or 7.85? What I really wanted is to get Tom Constable commentaries (a whole set I bought on CD before) and Dan Wallace Introductions (Also owned CDs with that) into esword; whether it is 10.0 or 8.0 I don't care... Thought 10 looks real nice, I just got it for the first time yesterday.
Thanks in advance for any help. Thanks for all you have done here.
To recap then I built a huge library through 2006 then did not have time to update them. I even stopped using my Logos software. Every change of MSwindows ... I just couldn't do it anymore and I was content and 'on the run'... Now I am on a new notebook and I have some time (an earned sabbatical), so I hope to delve into this world of updates and downloads. So far so good just wish I could get the 'premium' modules to work and 'no' I have bounced around so much (not by choice) that I don't have the receipts or 90% of my other worldly possessions anymore.

The premium modules are available from the place you purchased them from originally on their website.  Just snoop or email them and you should find new versions.  I think Constable is available here, you might search for it.

If you go to e-sword's built in downloader premium section and click on the Bible you will get a pop-up window asking for the e-mail address you had when you bought the module and the unlock key, OR recover Product key.  Select the recover button and from there it is pretty  much filling out the "form".

Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)

"Defenders of the faith are inclined to be bitter until they learn to walk in the light of the Lord. When you have learned to walk in the light of the Lord, bitterness and contention are impossible." --Oswald Chambers, in Biblical Psychology from The Quotable Oswald Chambers.

The Thomas Constable Commentary is available here free of charge:

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
