I prepare my teachings in theWord (the same could be done with e sword) and then use the MySword migration tools to migrate them to MySword (this can be done in a couple of minutes once you learn).

I then use the Deluxe split screen version of MySword to teach from. I use the two window option and have a Bible view on the left. On the right, I have my notes. The verse reference links migrate over to MySword, so I just need to touch the link in my notes to move around the Bible while I am teaching.

I use a small 7" tablet to do this.

Disclaimer - It does not work well if you sweat a lot, because the touch screen does not work very well :).

For more information on the split screen feature of the Deluxe version of MySword for tablets please see the link below:

Blessings,
Peter

P.S. Teaching from MySword is much easier than trying to teach from a laptop/netbook (unless you are giving a presentation) or to have a large Bible and paper notes. It is good to have a backup if something is not working with the technology (like prespiring too much :) or android lockups which never happen :))

Hi Pete,
Interesting stuff there, mate.

You know, interestingly a lot of pastors use PowerPoint presentation either on their laptop, or the PC via a projector thingy. Some pastor's, I've noticed some Pastors use e-Sword, or some other Bible Software in that same way to present their sermon.

I know at my Church (Christchurch North Elim), my pastor tends to preach PowerPoint slideshows a lot which comes from a PC and shown through a projector thingy.

Now, considering that, I'm curious in knowing if a i.e., Samsung Tablet running Android and MySword can be connected to a projector and used in that way.

Blessings,

MySword only works to replace notes/ paper Bible. It is not useful if you are giving a presentation.. except maybe to replace your paper Bible....

I taught one time with a 7" tablet to use as my Bible and notes and a netbook to run my powerpoint. A little too much technology.... :)

 Hi,

I also researched this and found this tool to be great for one on one (projecting image from my tablet to someone else's tablet or phone) or projecting to a Big screen.... http://www.mirrorop.com/

Pray that helps!

Hi,

I too am interested in projecting to tv for teaching s/s. I am using an android tablet and using an HDMI cable, I can put my screen on the tv. I would like to know if there is a way to take one window (Bible) and put it on the tv, while my screen (tablet) stays on my journal or notes. I created hyperlinks to certain scriptures that I use and would like to just click and the tv change instead of the class having to see my navigation. Any Ideas?

A lot depends on the technology of the projector.
With standard htmi input one can do the following..

A wireless connection would be even better.

https://pointerclick...t-to-projector/

I don't know a way to get two screens from aop¹

Yup, you can. Just get your Sound Desk and/or IT techno geeks in your Church to set it up, and you should be home and hosed.

Moreover, some TV brands, like Samsung, are either or both Bluetooth and/or WIFI compatible. So, have a chat with your IT techno geeks in your Church to the solution that meets your needs.

Trust you find this helpful,

Blessings,
