Rick has a policy of not announcing anything, until it is releasd. Even then, as oft as not, he does not make a public announcement about the release.

Chrome OS is a web orientated platform. e-Sword Live! could be the basis of a program for Chrome OS. OTOH, nothing similar is available for either iOS nor Android. On the gripping hand, Rick is a Windows programmer.

Windows 8 promises to be a developer's nightmare. It will be available for at least three different chipsets. Software developed for one chipset may, but probably will not run on the other chipsets.

My guess is that six to nine months after Win8 is commercially released, a more accurate prediction about the future of e-Sword, especially on non-Windows platforms, can be made.

I've read similar to this in some web magazines and newspapers on this issue, and going by these reports, it looks like this will be Microsoft's major flop. I feel for the Windows fans

Yeah I agree. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I'm also thinking quite seriously of going over to the other side (Linux) when I get my next desktop. Not too sure whether it'll be Redhat's Fedora or Ubuntu yet, but its there in my serious consideration list. Mac's OSx is out of the question because of the $$$ factor.
