Will these free downloads work in the iPad version, or are they only for the desktop version?

Some files are in installers that end in .exe These as they stand won't install to any Apple OS.

Some are in .zip files and you would need to extract the files contained. If they have an extension ending in "i" they will work on any version of e-Sword 11-13 and any Apple OS.

If the files extension ends in an "x" they are for e-Sword 10 and below and would need to be converted to work in Apple or e-Sword PC version 11-13. The converter is on the e-Sword site under the extras section. The converter only works on a Windows OS.

If you have a module that you need converting you should leave a request on the download page where you got the module so that the module maker can do the loving thing of providing the converted file for you.

Just a note on this:

Any new Bible files for the PC edition of e-Sword, are normally created with a bblx extension and is still the default extension. The fact that a Bible file with a bbli extension can be used on e-Sword for PC is actually a bonus, but not the norm.

Blessings,

The topic is talking about files from this site, and normally they are made with ToolTipTool NT which would not put an x extension on a version 4 file.
