Philip Mauro was a former United States Supreme Court Attorney and lifetime member of the Episcopal Church who spent the majority of his "free time" in his final four decades of life writing books to build up and instruct Christians, as well as to defend the Bible as God's inspired word.

In this book, Mauro tackles the topic of evolution, and puts it on trial, cross-examining the supposed evidence for it, and bringing in his star witnesses against it.
